Chuo Jiao Fanzi Wushu Chinese Martial Arts
On December 1st, 2009, we will have the very first Chuo Jiao Fanzi class at the Beth Israel gym. Over the past few years we have run other Chinese Martial Arts classes the the Beth Israel gym, including Modern Wushu, Tai Chi and Xing Yi. The previous classes were mainly taught by Andrew Gordon, however Andrew is not available this year as he is in Halifax Regional Police Service Cadet Training until April 2010. Therefore I (Josh Arnold) have volunteered to teach the class.
Although belt testing is not regularly seen in Traditional Chinese Martial Arts, I am advised that at the last meeting of the Beijing Chuo Jiao Fanzi Federation the senior masters agreed that belt testing should be introduced as it helps students recognize their achievments and can keep students motivated within their training. Therefore, this years class will offer belt testing to students who happen to be interested. Chris Rayner has generously agreed to be our "Beijing Connection", communicating with Wang HeLing, president of the Beijing Chuo Jiao Fanzi Federation, about the belt testing requirements and our affiliation with the Beijing Chuo Jiao Fanzi Federation.
